SnapTik is built on a simple principle: your data should stay yours. When you paste a TikTok link and download a video, the file is saved directly to your device. We want to emphasize our core commitments:

• We do not store the videos you download on our servers beyond processing.
• We do not retain your downloaded files after they are delivered to your device.
• We do not use your downloaded content for any purpose other than delivering it to you.
• We do not share your downloaded videos with third parties.

2. How SnapTik Works

SnapTik helps you download TikTok videos without watermarks, extract audio, and discover trending content. Here's how the download process works:

• Link Submission: When you paste a TikTok URL, the link is sent to our backend servers to retrieve video metadata and download URLs.
• Metadata Retrieval: Our servers fetch information about the video (title, author, thumbnail, available formats) from TikTok's public data.
• Download Delivery: The video or audio file is streamed directly to your device. Files are not stored on our servers after delivery.
• Local Storage: Downloaded files are saved to your device's gallery and to the App's local library for easy access.

2.1 Trending & Discovery Features

The App includes features to browse trending videos and hashtags. This data is aggregated from public TikTok information and is refreshed periodically. We do not track which trending content you view beyond standard analytics (see Section 5).

2.2 Our Server Infrastructure

When you request a download, data is transmitted securely to our servers:

• Backend Processing: We operate our own backend servers to process download requests. We do not send your TikTok links to unrelated third-party services.
• Server Locations: Our servers may be located in various regions. Requests are routed for optimal performance.
• Secure Transmission: All requests use HTTPS encryption to protect data in transit.
• No Long-Term Retention: Downloaded video files are not stored on our servers after delivery. Metadata may be logged temporarily for operational purposes (see Section 4).

3. Video Data — Our Approach

We want to be clear about how we handle the videos you download:

3.1 Temporary Processing Only

Video data passes through our servers only for the brief time needed to process your download request and stream the file to your device. Once delivery is complete, no copy of the video remains on our servers.

3.2 No Video Database

We do not maintain a database, archive, or collection of user-downloaded videos. There is no storage system where your downloaded content is kept by us.

3.3 No Secondary Use

Your downloaded videos are never used to train machine learning models, sold to third parties, or utilized for any purpose beyond delivering the download you requested.

3.4 Local Library

The App maintains a local library on your device that stores references to videos you've downloaded (thumbnails, metadata, and the local file path). This data is stored only on your device and is not uploaded to our servers.

4. Information We Collect

To provide and improve our service, we may collect limited technical information:

4.1 Device Information

We may collect basic device information such as device type, operating system version, app version, and general usage statistics. This helps us ensure compatibility and improve performance. We may generate an anonymous device identifier to manage usage and prevent abuse; this is not linked to your personal identity.

4.2 TikTok URLs

When you submit a TikTok URL for download, we process that URL to retrieve video data. We may log URLs temporarily for operational purposes (e.g., debugging, rate limiting) but do not maintain a permanent record of all URLs you submit.

4.3 Purchase Information

If you make a purchase through the App Store or Google Play, the respective platform processes your payment. We receive confirmation of your purchase or subscription status but do not have access to your payment details, credit card information, or account credentials.

4.4 Crash Reports and Diagnostics

If the App experiences an error, anonymous diagnostic data may be collected to help us identify and fix technical issues. This data does not include your downloaded videos or personal content.

5. Third-Party Services

5.1 Analytics

We may use analytics services (such as Firebase Analytics or similar) to collect anonymous usage data including screen views, feature interactions, and app performance. This helps us understand how users interact with the App and improve the experience. Analytics data is linked to anonymous identifiers and is not used to personally identify you.

5.2 App Stores

The App is distributed through Apple's App Store and Google Play Store. These platforms process payments, manage subscriptions, and may collect their own data. We receive confirmation of your subscription or purchase status but do not have access to your payment details. 5.3 TikTok

SnapTik interacts with TikTok's publicly available data to retrieve video information and download URLs. We do not have a formal partnership with TikTok. Your use of SnapTik is subject to TikTok's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. Please review TikTok's Privacy Policy for information about how TikTok handles your data.

5.4 Advertising

SnapTik does not display advertisements. We do not use advertising networks, and we do not share any data with advertising partners.

6. Data Security

We take the security of your information seriously:

• Encrypted Transmission: All data transmitted between the App and our servers uses HTTPS encryption.
• Secure Infrastructure: Our backend systems are protected by industry-standard security measures.
• Limited Retention: We minimize data retention. Downloaded videos are not stored on our servers after delivery.
• Access Controls: Access to any server-side data is restricted to authorized personnel for operational purposes.

7. Data Retention

• Downloaded Videos: Not retained on our servers. Files are streamed to your device and any temporary data is deleted after delivery.
• Technical Logs: Server logs (which may include IP addresses and request metadata) are retained for a limited period for security, debugging, and abuse prevention, then deleted.
• Analytics Data: Anonymous analytics data may be retained as long as necessary to improve our services.
• Local Library: Data stored in the App's local library on your device remains until you delete it or uninstall the App.
• Purchase Records: Maintained by Apple and Google in accordance with their policies.

8. Children's Privacy

SnapTik is intended for general audiences. However, in-app purchases require an adult account holder. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child without appropriate consent, we will take steps to delete that information.

9. Your Rights and Choices

Because we minimize data collection and do not store your downloaded videos, many privacy rights are satisfied by design. However, depending on where you live, you may have additional rights:

• Access: You may request information about what data we hold about you.
• Correction: You may request correction of inaccurate data.
• Deletion: You may request deletion of your data. Since we do not store downloaded videos, there are no video files for us to delete. For other data, contact us.
• Opt-Out: You can disable analytics or personalized advertising through your device settings or in-app options where available.

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have rights under GDPR including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. Our data-minimization approach ensures these rights are largely satisfied by default.

You can delete the App at any time. Local library data will be removed with the App. No downloaded videos remain on our servers.

10. International Users

SnapTik is available internationally through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Your requests may be processed on servers located in various regions to ensure optimal performance. Regardless of processing location, our privacy commitments apply universally — your downloaded videos are not retained on our servers.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, technical, or regulatory reasons. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy within the App or on our website and updating the "Last Updated" date. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
